The word “Affirmation” is defined as “the assertion that something exists or is true.” The word affirmation comes from the Latin affirmare, meaning “to make steady, strengthen.” Every day, in our own lives, affirmations can do just that: strengthen us.
In my opinion, your attitude shapes who you are and what you are capable of. In reality there is nothing that you can’t do – if you simply have the right attitude about it. Dr. Carmen Harra says in an article in OM Times: “But we cannot rely purely on thoughts; we must translate thoughts into words and eventually into actions in order to manifest our intentions. This means we have to be very careful with our words, choosing to speak only those which work towards our benefit and cultivate our highest good.”
Here is a list of daily affirmations that you can use to get your mind focused on the good that you want in your life. It is amazing how words can change our lives, and the simple practice of repeating these affirmations to yourself can make them so.
