Although there is not much you can do about the first two things, getting your hair under control and making it look nice and tidy even when you are doing those high-intensity moves is not that hard.

When your training consists of a lot of cardio, keeping your hair in one place is not that easy. Of course, there is always the old, reliable ponytail, but sometimes you just need to spice things up a little bit. Don’t be fooled, this hairstyle is not your typical bun. The braided kind is more stable and will help you look amazing in and out of the gym. So, start by tying a high ponytail, then divide it into three sections and just braid it. When you have made a nice, big braid go ahead and pull it out so it gets more volume.
Then, wrap it around the base of your ponytail and tuck the end of the braid under the bun. Secure it with pins so it doesn’t fall apart and you are done.

French Braid Ponytail

Flip your head upside down and braid the back section from your neck up, until you get to the top (where your ponytail will be) and secure it with an elastic for now.

The only thing you have left to do is to braid the top section and tie all of the braids together with one big elastic. Use the scissors to cut other smaller ties you used to secure those three braids.

To turn the top section into your braided headband take a section of hair from behind one ear, whichever you prefer, and separate it into three strands. Start braiding it like a usual three-strand braid, adding in strands as you go along.
When you have reached the end on the other side of your face, secure your headband braid with a clear elastic and a couple of bobby pins. Pull the braid apart using your fingers for the added texture.

French Braid Pigtails
